Polar Profiles is under development. This page is an implementation checklist, not a final privacy notice. Confirm and replace it before collecting real user data.
Information to describe
Document the account email processed by Supabase Auth, reserved username, private profile draft, published profile content, session cookies, and any operational logs. Confirm the Supabase region, retention, subprocessors, and deletion behavior for the project you deploy.
What becomes public
Only content a person explicitly publishes is available on their public profile. Drafts are owner-scoped. Explain that public profile text, links, theme, images, and username can be viewed and indexed until the owner unpublishes or deletes the account.
Media and external links
The first editor accepts secure HTTPS media links; direct uploads and storage are not enabled. Document any third-party requests that a published image or link may make, and review storage and file restrictions before adding uploads.
Before launch
Choose a responsible contact, data-retention periods, account-deletion procedure, privacy request process, and analytics policy. Confirm consent and cookie disclosures for the final deployment, then obtain jurisdiction-appropriate legal review.
